Strategic writing process:
What's the key to success in teaching it?

You can talk about writing until your great grandchildren cart you off to the old folks' home, but getting students to apply a strategic process in their own writing without prompting from you requires more than talk.

If you've discovered any tricks that worked for teaching your students to write essays or for teaching parts of that nonfiction writing process — planning, composing, revising, editing — please share your insights here.
