Write a topic sentence outline

I need essay help with finding sources on the overcrowding of prisons, evaluating those sources, drafting and analyzing a topic sentence outline, revising and finalizing the topic sentence. Pretty much all of it from start to finish.

Linda responds:You certainly have your work cut out for you.

You didn't say what course this assignment is for, what grade level, or what kind of document you are supposed to be outlining. From your writing topic, I am guessing you are at least in high school.

I cannot provide essay help with more than one problem, so I'm going to leave you to do all the research. I'll focus on outlining.

First, you need to know what a topic sentence outline is. The outline explains how you plan to make a case for your thesis statement. The thesis statement is a single sentence that summarizes the point you intend to prove in your paper. (It is a thesis sentence that you finalize after you finish your research.)

The topic sentence outline is just numbered list of the topic sentences of all the body paragraphs you plan to include in your finished document. A formal outline will use Roman numerals to indicate the order in which you will present the paragraphs in your paper.

If your instructor requires subpoints, you need to summarize each piece of evidence you intend to present in a body paragraph and present it as a complete sentence under the outline listing for the associated topic sentence. Give the subpoints letter names to indicate the order in which you will present them: A, B, C, etc. Each point of the topic sentence outline must be a complete sentence.

I don't know whether you understand the concept of a sentence. Most of your message is a string of sentence fragments. Sentences begin with a capital letter and end with a period or question mark. Between those boundary markers, you must have a verb and its subject. I'm sure you studied all that in third grade. You must use the grammar you learned in third grade when you write for people outside your immediate family and friends.

Please note: You misspelled sentence three times in your post. That’s a word you need to learn to spell. Analyzing is another everyday word that you should be able to spell.

Good luck!
