I need essay help with making a topic sentence outline and also revising my paper about prison overcrowding. Linda responds: I need to know some more information before I can provide essay help, Kimberly. What I need to know is:

• What course is your paper for? What grade level?


• What type of paper is it to be? a persuasive essay? research paper?


• What is your thesis statement? (An outline has to outline a thesis statement.)


• Did you prepare a writing skeleton™ from your thesis statement? If you did, then you already have a topic sentence outline.

The purpose of the revision is to make the composed paper agree with the outline. We cannot think about that until you've written your thesis, your writing skeleton™, and composed your paper.
